Romiette and Julio

As soon as the storm ends, the police head to London Woods Lake to continue their search for Romi and Julio. The search teams find burned remnants of a boat washed up on shore. They call in a recovery team, certain the teenagers have drowned. Meanwhile, the investigators looking into the Devildogs’ Cadillac find Ben’s miniature video camera in the trunk.

Searching alongside the police search teams, Destiny and Ben happen upon one of Romi’s shoes. Having found a clue, they head to the police tent set up for the search. Along the way, Destiny worries that Romi and Julio are dead and that her faith in the universe is wrong. Ben assures her that he believes in her spirituality.

The Cappelles and Montagues arrive at the police tent. The police have already reviewed the footage from Ben’s miniature video camera—although it suggests that Romi and Julio were alive when they were placed in the Cadillac’s trunk, the police still don’t know where they are now. The police captain tells the worried parents about the burned fragments of a boat, but they refuse to give up hope. The two fathers head out to search the shoreline; the mothers volunteer to direct the search teams, as many neighbors and friends have gathered to help look.
